Because of the ridiculous medical issues I have had in the past decade or so, I am afraid of the physical pain that may come in the end. The actual lights going out or whatever comes after doesnt matter to me. Its just pain. Ugh, no more pain.

I'm sorry to hear that, Steph. Pain is scarry. Luckily we have all sorts of pain killers, and if that doesn't help, death is the redeemer.

I love your optimism that we will always be in a place where we can get medical assistance when our time comes.

I would imagine that in most cases, where that wasn't the case, it would be a rather quick death, accompanied by the good kind of system shock (where the body shuts down pain receivers), like in an accident or being shot, suffocated ...

For example, when you're hurt in a car accident, you don't really feel much pain the first few hours, as per my experience. That comes after, when the shock is flushed out of your system.

LoL. This took a dark turn. 😅

What I'm saying is, it's gonna be alright. 😊 Statistically speaking, most of us will either die a quick death, or high as a kite on a hospital bed. Either way, there is nothing to fear.

Unless you're Catholic and you've been a bad, bad girl, hehe.

Yea, really good points.

I suppose I am suppose I am actually more scared of life with faulty medical assistance than I am of death after all:)
